Reconstruction Services Process
If your home or business has suffered some serious damage from a natural disaster or other unforeseen catastrophe, here is a general idea of what to expect: We will assess the initial damage, work with your insurance company to determine what is covered and start planning the mitigation and then finally the reconstruction process. Depending on the extent of the damage, this could take a while, so patience will definitely be a virtue here. Overall, the property damage reconstruction process involves a lot of planning, coordination, and attention to detail. By following these stages, we can ensure that the work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the complete satisfaction of our clients.
The first stage is to conduct an initial assessment of the property damage. This involves examining the damage and determining the scope of work required to repair it. During this stage, the team at Silver Lining Property Restoration will also identify any potential safety hazards on the site and take steps to mitigate them.
After the initial assessment, we create a detailed plan for the repair work. This plan will include an estimate of the time and cost required to complete the work, as well as a detailed breakdown of the materials and labor needed. This estimate will be submitted on your behalf to your insurance company for approval.
Depending on the extent of the damage, we may need to obtain permits and approvals from local building departments or other regulatory bodies. This stage can take some time and may require additional documentation and inspections.
Once all necessary approvals have been obtained, Silver Lining Property Restoration will begin the demolition and clean-up stage (mitigation). This involves removing any damaged building materials and contents/debris from the site and preparing the area for reconstruction. This phase may also involve environmental testing or air quality checks to ensure that the property is safe for occupation.
The reconstruction stage is where the majority of the work takes place. This involves rebuilding damaged areas and installing new materials, such as drywall, flooring and fixtures. We will closely follow the plan created in the planning and estimating stage to ensure that the work is completed on schedule and within budget.
